We've been watching the Boston Dynamics robot called Atlas for years, and have been so impressed with his walking, dancing, lifting, and learning to navigate complicated environments that we didn't even notice his hands didn't work like ours. But that's changing. While Atlas may not yet have five fingers that work independently, he has developed the ability to manipulate objects. In this promotional video, the robot not only grips, but lifts and delivers, too. He can't help but show off a bit with a spinning back flip. We pretty much expected that. Every robot carries a bit of hubris.
