Very sad. The Middle East blockade certainly didn't do anything to stop this abuse. They were too busy throwing gays off of roofs and torturing women for showing their faces in public.
Read that by the end of World War 2, the foreign slave population in Nazi Germany, which was almost all male, outnumbered German males. Awful, right? In Qatar the foreign slave population is 80% of the population. It is a slave state, funded by you and me.
