The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is a Christmas story that takes place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Guardians themselves are a very diverse group of heroes from all over the galaxy, and as such, they are not familiar with the earth holiday Christmas. Except for Star-Lord, who never explained Christmas adequately to anyone he knows. Word gets around, though, however inaccurately. If you don't have the Disney+ streaming service, you can get a taste of the shenanigans with a song from the special entitled "I Don't Know What Christmas Is (But Christmastime Is Here). It's performed by the Dallas band Old 97's, dressed in full prosthetics to portray the alien band Bzermikitokolok and the Knowheremen. You might also like the other song from the special by Old 97's with Kevin Bacon, "Here It Is Christmastime." It's not as funny, but the clip will make you feel good.

Like all corny Christmas specials, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is terrible but hey, I can say I've seen it. It does have a few gems in it though.
Calling it terrible is a violation of Christmas spirit, so Lets just
say it's seasonal. wink wink
