This illusion is pretty cool, and fairly easy to understand once they explain it. Still, I am thoroughly impressed with the optics. Getting the props and angles to work just right must have involved a lot of work. (via Boing Boing)
Seriously, unless there are some significant revisions of rules and the movement of other pieces, there's no way that this would be able to be used in actual gameplay.
