The Savanah Bananas

The Harlem Globetrotters of baseball is a minor league team in Georgia called the Savannah Bananas. Only launched in 2016 after the Savannah Sand Gnats moved away, they've taken the baseball world by storm by focusing on fun and entertainment more than winning (although they win, too). You'll find more entertaining links about the Savannah Bananas at Metafilter.

Baseball is supposed to be a game ... and if it isn't fun, why play?

This guy's got the right idea.  I'm just sorry I live so far away from Georgia or I'd made it a point to be in the stands and catch a few games too.

Wow, after decades of MLB inflated egos and outrageous prices this is a beacon of light. I read the average ticket price for everyone age 3 and up, to the Phillies this year is almost $130. That doesn't include parking and cracker jacks.
