This guy explains how the work commute is so much better in the Netherlands than in Canada. And Americans laugh, because the US is way beyond suck in that category. But infrastructure that makes life better for everyday workers costs too much for private industry, and will be never be government subsidized because in the US, rural votes are much more powerful than urban votes. Yeah, someone mentioned that in the Netherlands, it's not just cities that have better transportation systems, it's even the small towns.
