According to the International Shark Attack File (ISAF), between 1958 and 2016 (a 58-year period) there were 2,785 confirmed unprovoked shark attacks around the world, of which 439 were fatal. That's an average of 48 attacks and 7.5 fatalities per year.
By comparison, in Milwaukee WI, there have been 203 homicides (and 91% of those were shooting victims) – and the year's not over yet.
I'll take my chances with the sharks or the four-legged wildlife like the bears or the buffalo in Yellowstone, thank you.

THIS is nearly the same exact reason I don't swim in the sea anymore.
I mean, seriously, sharks ? ... hungry sharks ... roaming FREE ?
