Actually, it sounds like the whales ran into him:

I wish I still had my "SAVE THE WHALES" T-shirt.
Mainly because of the smaller, second line that said, "Collect the full set".

You can forget that the original endangered whale, the North Atlantic right whale, has rebounded somewhat since the introduction of kerosene.
