Area = Pi r^2
formula for a circle? That’s not really the formula. It should be:
Area = radius x (half circumference),
where circumf=Pi*diameter, so half of that is Pi*radius.

Yeah, Mom always told us not to play with out food, but today is 3/14, so it's the annual holiday known as Pi Day. You may want to celebrate Friday with this kind of fun demonstration of how pi relates to circles by using pizzas and pizza crust. It's a great excuse to order five pizzas! (via Boing Boing)
