Wage stagnation, income inequality, shareholders, runaway profits, the death of unions, and impersonal work conditions. One of these days, corporations will catch on to the fact that these things are what is destroying our toxic American work ethic. And we should thank them for that, if not for anything else. What you say about conditions is true, however productivity is going up because people are scared of being bounced as there are three people to take their place. They're scared enough to stab fellow workers in the back which is the state of affairs the company wants to promote. I don't see it getting better soon.
My Dad made sure I understood that No-one is irreplaceable.
No matter how good you are at a job, the Boss can find
someone at a huge discount who will do passable work and
most likely improve with experience.
Coincidentally, this is exactly how democratic socialism works, too.
