Star Trek Isn't a Paperless Future

Star Trek challenged us to imagine what life would be like several hundred years into the future. As often happens, the more mundane parts of life didn't get the "what if" treatment as much as the space travel and aliens. In real life, we've moved from paper to mostly electronics for communication, news, and finance. Not so much in Star Trek: The Original Series, which will forever be stuck in the 1960s, and Star Trek: The Next Generation from the '80s -and even later Star Trek series. (via io9)
