Here are six TV channels (NBC, CBS, BBC, CNN, FOX, ABC) synched to the same time, so you can watch them all at once. If you were watching TV on the morning of September 11, 2001, you probably saw one of these. Seeing them together as the news spread is eerie, and it brings us back to the day like it was yesterday. The coverage runs until the second plane hit the other tower. Wikipedia has a rundown on how the networks reacted.

I had just returned from renewing my driver's license when the story hit. The family watched it for hours (the kids were four and three years old), until I had to go work. There wasn't much to do at work since we ran our network news feed for four days straight. If you want a taste of what it was like in New York City, here's a video of NYU students recording the sight from their hi-rise dormitory. Yes, it's disturbing.

I couldn't watch the whole thing. Still too raw.
