Although I do wonder when the song (The Three Bells, originally recorded in 1959 by a group called 'The Browns') became familiar enough in Europe to inspire this manner of glockenspielen.
"Les Trois Cloches" ("The Three Bells") was one of Edith Piaf's greatest hits and dates from the Second World War. It's a Swiss song written in French and was well known in Europe long before any English version was recorded and released in the USA.
