Language Exchange Program Benefits Students and Teachers

The best way to learn a new language, they say, is to go somewhere where that’s the language spoken every day. But not everyone can travel just to do that. The next best thing is to converse with a native speaker. FCB Brasil and the CNA language school network have a program in which Brazilian students can practice their English by speaking to Americans, specifically Americans in retirement homes. The exercise benefits both the Americans, who have time on their hands and enjoy a good conversation, and the students, who not only get to practice English, but also learn about American culture from someone who has experienced a lot of it.
