English spelling is different in the USA, you see it as normal, but here in foreign to you English speaking countries, such as England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Australia, New Zealand, India, and a few more I can't remember ... tire means to get weary, sleepy, worn out.

Tyre is the rubber round thing that goes on a wheel.

I am reminded of you all saying 'erb for herb, doing the French thing where the H is silent, but then not doing it for hospital, home, homosexual, honorary ... oh, wait, even I drop that H.
