How To Make Your Groceries Last Longer
When I saw the title, I thought this would be about making the haul from your weekly trip to the grocery store last an entire week. But no, this is about food storage for people who have more food than they can consume immediately. Honestly, I never knew that anyone used less than a can of tomato paste. Still, this is good advice for people who need it, because I already knew some of these things. (via Digg)

The cure for boredom is to mess with the cat. You might feel sorry for the poor cat, having to jump through hoops, so to speak, for a treat, but hey, he's getting treats. Singing Toilet Paper
Artist Max Björverud rigged a bunch of toilet paper dispensers to sound like a choir. Yeah, he started this project a long time before we became obsessed with toilet paper. The "instrument" is explained at Hack a Day.
Inspired by the way bicycle computers determine your speed, [Max] took a set of toilet paper holders, extended each roll holding part with a 3D-printed attachment housing a magnet, and installed a Hall-effect sensor to determine the rolling activity. The rolls’ sensor data is then collected with an Arduino Mega and passed on to a Raspberry Pi Zero running Pure Data, creating the actual sounds.(via Neatorama)
