Hair Color

I think he may mean venomous, as in injecting a toxin. Poisonous means the toxin is harmful if licked, eaten, or inhaled and I can personally attest women who color their hair are delicious

I was explaining my odd hair colors to a friend once, and ended the story with, "and besides, it keeps conservative old men from hitting on me."

How Tattoos Were Invented... Probably

Have you ever wondered where tattoos came from? I mean, who had the bright idea to put ink under their skin? According to Wikipedia, tattooing goes back at least 5,000 years, and appears to be an ancient practice in many far-flung parts of the world. So it either arose independently in many different cultures, or it is so ancient that we'll never know its origins. You have to imagine many different "inventors" who all had the idea to embed their decorations painfully underneath the surface so they didn't wash off. Tattoos were important for a variety of reasons- to mark who belonged to a community, to identify a person as a hero or a criminal, or to mark the passage into adulthood. Over time, they became a cultural mark of accomplishment or a personal preference.

Ryan George, on the other hand, takes a more modern look at what was going through the head of the first guy who decided to tattoo his skin. In this scenario, it makes no sense at all.

Explanatory Tattoo

The comments at reddit are mainly about how this tat is backwards. But then, not all cultures picture time as moving from left to right.

Locks

Back in 2009, before he gave us Creed, Black Panther, and Sinners, Ryan Coogler was a graduate student at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. Locks is one of the short films he produced while there. It has no dialogue, but will stir something in you. (via Kuriositas

The 2025 Minnesota State High School All Hockey Hair Team

The unnamed YouTuber that once went by Game On Minnesota is now called Pulltab Hockey, and he has selected the Minnesota high school players with the most glorious flow from the season that just ended. These students take hockey seriously, but they also take their hair seriously. After all, they're going to be on TV and any of them have a chance to be in the annual video, which is seen by people who've never been to Minnesota and who don't care about hockey.

This year's video sports the theme of Hollywood and the Oscars, but what really stands out is that the players' hair isn't all that long, but it's often fluffy and comes in many colors. The team is introduced in the first six minutes, then we hear about the organization this video supports, and then from about the seven-minute mark, it's all highlights from Minnesota high school hockey season. Kiss Mustache

Comedy duo Austin & Colin stopped shaving and went to the National Beard and Moustache Championships in Everett, Washington, a couple of weeks ago. They had a wonderful time as you can see in the video footage they shot while at the convention. They even signed up to compete and Austin came in third in the Natural Mustache category! So they wrote a little song about it. It contains every mustache pun ever uttered, including the title. You'll find the complete lyrics at the YouTube page under "more." (via reddit)
