I found that most of them were simple nice, quiet places -with very loud names. Read about them in this list I posted at mental_floss.

The 12 Men Who Walked on the Moon

In the wake of the passing of Neil Armstrong, many people have expressed sadness at the fact that the Apollo lunar missions were so long ago, and that soon there will be no one left alive who actually went to the moon. Randall Munroe of xkcd addressed that concept some time ago. It’s time we remembered -or got to know- the only twelve people who ever walked on a body other than planet Earth, in an article I wrote for mental_floss.

A Journey Around the World in Dominoes

This domino display visits every corner of the world, recreating flags, landmarks, and icons of different nations. It looks like a pretty standard domino topple you see at world-class domino events, until you get to about 90 seconds in, and see the huge wall of dominoes slowly falling. You have to think about the care and effort that went into it. It set a world record.

The longest domino wall was 30 m (98 ft 5 in) long and consisted of 31,405 dominoes. It was erected and toppled by Sinners Domino Production (Germany) at the Wilhelm-Lückert-Gymnasium in Büdingen, Germany, on 6 July 2012.

The big pyramid set a world record, too. This installation contained 127,141 dominoes. You will be mesmerized by the destruction. (via I Am Bored)
