Ever hear of the Great Male Renunciation? Men were the first to wear high heels. Then women caught on and all of a sudden that look (along with all the other colorful stuff) became to feminine so men gave it all up. So women could look as pretty as they wanted but they would never look as good as someone with a beard and wearing flannel.
