It's easy to make friends when you're a kid. It just sort of happens when you spent all day every day together in school. Twenty years after high school, you've become your own person, and you have nothing in common with any of those people. That's exactly why I've never been to a high school reunion. But I'm going to my 50th class reunion this fall. It's only been 49 years, but we saved money on combining with the class of '75, go figure. At this point, we don't have to decide what to do when we hang out together, because by the time we get each other's updates, it will be time to go home.

Nope! I didn't have anything in common with people when I was at school with them, so have absolutely no desire to ever see any of them again!
Went to a few including the 50th. My wife said why bother because since I wasn't on the football team or in a cool kids clique I was basically but politely ignored. Ended up talking to one of the attendee's husband who knew no one until he switched to politics. I left.
Realized I had nothing in common even though the school I attended covered all 12 years. The few that used to talk to me passed on or didn't show up.
