I don't do drugs myself, apart from the ones in chocolate, wine, whiskey, and beer, and the ones prescribed by the doctor, but I did plant some catnip plants a few years ago. Of the six cats I had at the time (I'm a soft touch for strays) only 3 of them showed interest in the catnip plants. Mind you, they ate the leaves and rolled their bodies over those plants like a steamroller flattening asphalt ... like my mum rolling out pastry ... with the end effect the same as my dreams and aspirations - totally ground into the dirt.
I only five cats these days, so I should probably do the catnip plants thing again so I get a decisive answer.
Three of my four cats love catnip. My backyard patch took maybe ten years to establish properly because of the damage. But it's not just those three- my catnip brings all the neighborhood kitties to the yard.

... a decisive answer about whether more cats like catnip than do those that do not.
(no edit facility, so added this on)
