Yeah, anyone can grow up to be president (except immigrants and apparently women), but you really should work your way up. Most of our presidents were previously governors, senators, or military generals- and quite a few were also vice presidents. Garfield's and Lincoln's highest previous rank was as US Representative. We also had a few ambassadors and cabinet members. Trump is the only person ever elected to the presidency without any public service experience whatsoever. And it shows. (via She Who Seeks)

It seems 40 million eligible voters didn't vote in your last elections.
Not that I was counting.
But out of 245 million voters, 40 million could make a clear difference.
From where I sit, at my computer bench on an island a LONG way away from the United States, and with my number one cat between me and the keyboard, as is normal, you would need someone with personality, intelligence, and probably good looks ... not sure who is looking at doing that job.
Notice I say 'would' rather than 'will', because it looks like your present sitting president is going to be a right royal bastard to remove from the throne he is crafting.
To quote someone from a, uh, "craphole" country, "when he dies, the same worms will eat him too." And he doesn't look like someone with a bunch of years ahead of him. When Vance isn't even good at being JD Vance, we'll still have horrible problems, but, at that point, the fever will have broken.
If not, I better hope I win Long Term Disability, so I can emigrate.
