There is nothing tackier than buying an uncomfortable home just to show off how much money you can spend on one. It's what makes McMansion Hell such a fun site, as well as Homes and Hues and Zillow Gone Wild because money doesn't automatically bestow good taste. There are often ridiculous quirks in these properties that make us feel better about not having the money to embarrass ourselves like that.
