Dogs and Cats and Water Balloons

Eric has a half-dozen pets. He confused them by completely lining his hallway with water balloons! I wouldn't try this, because I can picture a ton of water soaking into that wood laminate floor. But he wants to see which of his critters will walk across them. The dogs Yuki, Monty, and Olive are asked to follow him down the hallway. The youngest husky Olive does NOT want to walk on those strange things. But then the cats comes in, all three of them: Bat, Sonya, and Belka. Strangely, the cats act just like the three dogs. The first one plows across, the second is slow and careful, and the third does not want to make an attempt. But Olive finds her courage eventually.
