Ethan Scott has been colorblind all his life. Some colors are muted for him, and others he’s never seen -like purple. Then his friends got together and bought him a pair of those new EnChroma glasses that allow colorblind people to see colors. They didn’t tell him what the glasses were, so we get to see his complete surprise as he discovers what the world is supposed to look like. He gets a little emotional. Contains some NSFW language. My brother is colorblind and was given Enchroma glasses too. It was not a “breaking into tears moment.” He could suddenly distinguish colors that seemed the same to him before, but didn't always know what to call the new color that he saw. (It wasn't necessarily what everyone else sees, but it is different than before.) To him, pastel colors had mainly looked grey. Greens and oranges looked brown. Dark blue and purple look the same. Red looks almost black.
The main thing my brother noticed was advertising on trucks and buildings that had blended in to the background before.
