Curious Refuge, the folks who gave us Star Wars as a Wes Anderson film have given the same treatment to The Lord of the Rings. It's certainly a lot pinker than the Peter Jackson version. A faux trailer for The Whimsical Fellowship stars Bill Murray as Gandalf, Timothee Chalamet as Frodo, and the usual Wes Anderson gang. After playing Darth Vader, Owen Wilson would be right at home as Sauron. This would not be possible without the aid of artificial intelligence. (via Geeks Are Sexy)

I read the books soon after they were written, and, learning from my experiences with other books that had been made into movies, in which my imagination fed interpretation of each was ruined by somebody's else's imagined version of each, I refused to atch the film edition of Lord of the Rings.
However, a Wes Anderson production of it would, I feel, be ore than acceptable.
Make it be so.
