“It’s a phenomenon of ‘not in my backyard,’” says Martin Hirsch, editor-in-chief of the Journal of Infectious Diseases and an immunologist at Harvard University.

Mr's Hirsch is likely very intelligent, but clearly doesn't understand what NIMBY is or how to use it correctly.

I have family in Altoona (actually in Hollidaysburg) and spent several weekends each year there in the late 60s and I remember the Altoona Hotel and Altoona Pizza. though vaguely. My wife and I had lunch at 29th Street Pizza not long ago. They have an interesting variety of food. Be aware they are not open on weekends.

I disagree with that superhero movie list, of course, but I've seen 9 of the top ten. I've never seen "The Dark Knight" which I really need to get around to watching sometime, just for Heath Ledger's performance.
