Sure they're entertaining, but somewhere along the way you may have wondered if they can do anything useful. That is, something necessary that clients might be willing to pay for. Tom Scott wondered that as well, so he went to find out. At an Austrian hydroelectric plant, Spot robots are doing inspections, which is a monotonous job that involves a lot of time spent walking through huge facilities. As far as we know, robot dogs don't mind that kind of drudgery.
