You’re telling me Ambystoma females gather precious bodily fluids from a variety of dudes, then pick and choose bits of DNA to create her designer offspring, all without a lab, electron microscope, or PhD?
Bruce I don't know any more than Popular Science about that, but if I had to guess, I would think it's more random chance than them choosing how to make Franken-salamanders. But that fact it's not a consistent system is mind-blowing.
