What is the point of working so hard? It's a good question, and most of the world would answer with "Because we have no choice." However, there are some developed nations in which one does not have to work for years and years to pay off college debt or medical debt. Places that mandate vacation time and maternity leave. But back to the subject, even though my household never had affluence and security, I can well relate to this father. I hate to quote Bill Cosby, but we all recall the Cliff Huxtable line, "Your mother and I are rich. You have nothing." This comic is from Zach Weinersmith at Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal.

Bill Cosby abused his power, but acquired that power by understanding how people think and act better than most shrinks, and being able to describe it in layman's terms.
