Ants Eating a Tangerine



One tasty segment of a tangerine provides sugar and vitamin C to a whole colony of ants. Watch as they consume it in a little more than a day in this time-lapse video. (via Nag on the Lake)

Debra, there's actually a word for that ....
'formication' – the sensation that resembles that of small insects crawling on (or under) the skin when there is nothing there.  It is one specific form of a set of sensations known as paresthesias, which also include the more common prickling, tingling sensation known as "pins and needles".
