Discovery made a choice about how to represent science.— Sarah McAnulty (@SarahMackAttack) April 4, 2019
We know that the world is, in fact, much bigger than that.
We want to remind you all that #ScienceIsForEveryone@Discovery pic.twitter.com/Zkgip9gxtp
This is in response to the Discovery Channel's new promo that presents science (plus their offer TV offerings) as a testosterone-filled activity with no women around. (via Science Alert)

Frankly, Discovery would have done better if they had dusted off the "The World is Just Awesome" promo (the "Boom-de-yada" ad) and re-run that.
The original ad — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=at_f98qOGY0
The revised 2009 version — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZu0hRmc9f8
And then Miss C. could have re-run the xkcd tribute to it — https://www.explainxkcd.com/wiki/images/1/17/xkcd_loves_the_discovery_channel.png
And then even the xkcd tribute video that I helped create! https://youtu.be/KQAk_T9SBbw
Forgot about that one!
