Looney Tunes for Your Enjoyment

Saturday morning cartoons didn't mean a thing to my kids, because they grew up with videotapes, DVDs, and 24-hour cartoon channels. But the passing of this great institution brought back rich memories for me and my husband. Not that we watched any Saturday morning cartoons in the last 40 years, but before that, we were treated to the best of the Golden Age of cartoon animation, those masterpieces lovingly crafted by Warner Brothers and other studios to be shown on the silver screen, written for both adults and children to enjoy. If you got up early enough, you could catch some Three Stooges or Our Gang shorts. When the cartoons ran out at noon, there was your choice of American Bandstand or Shock Theater. If I was going to a movie matinee, I'd watch Bandstand. If I had no plans for the next couple of hours, I'd watch Shock Theater. Those were the days!

In case you are feeling the same way,and need a cartoon fix, The Cartoon Channel has made four hours of Looney Tunes cartoons available for your viewing pleasure. You might want to bookmark this for future reference. Here's a rundown:

Excellent! But, in my opinion, you can't beat the Roadrunner cartoons which came a bit later than the ones on this list.
