Rescue Dog and a Surprise

When you find a beautiful dog in an unusual place or out in the middle of nowhere, there's a good chance that the previous owners dumped her because they were too cheap to have her spayed and now she's pregnant. This happened to me twice- one was even dumped right in my front yard. I managed to find homes for 15 puppies in total. Oh, yeah, they both were spayed soon after.

Joel and his wife found a Great Pyrenees in their front yard. How did she get there? She had no microchip, so they kept her and named her Waco. Waco got along fine with their golden retriever Wellington, and fattened up quickly. That was because she was pregnant, and she soon gave birth to eight puppies who were all mini-Wacos. If you want to see more of these puppies, check out Wellington's TikTok channel

My current dog is a rescue from a shelter and was neutered and microchipped upon adoption. There are so many animals waiting for a good home out there. He is my best friend. Hats off to you for taking yours in.

Someone dumped a kitted over my fence a few months ago.
So now I have six cats and am very happy about that.

But imagine my joy if a dog appeared on my property one day and she was pregnant ... imagine having baby dogs appear, whatever they are called.

I don't understand how anyone could abandon a dog or a cat, for me it would be like chucking away one of my kids.

Been a while since I have had a dog, but I remember the smell of puppy breath from when my Mandy had pups.

I remember the second dog, Tuesday, wouldn't come out from under the dining room table during labor, so I built her a nest around the area. Every time a puppy popped out, I would ask "Are you done yet?" She had eight of them.

Used to do a lot of forestry work back of beyond. Was out moving through some dense chest high brush to the next plot when something came towards me. First thought was a bear but it turned out to be a lovely hound. Had a number on its collar so fed it and let it tag along until we made it back to camp. Called the number (Ohio iirc) and the woman who answered said her hubby and friend were on a hunting trip and had said they lost the dog several days earlier. Got to the hotel they were staying at and dropped off the pup. Not relevant but noticed that the two young women sharing the room did not give the impression they were wives or daughters.
