Oliver! is a 1968 film based on the 1960 British and later Broadway musical, which was based on Charles Dickens' novel Oliver Twist. The movie was nominated for 11 Academy Awards and won six, including Best Picture. It's a long movie, mainly because of the big production numbers, and it's overall more joyous than the source material.
