As a longtime cat person, I've learned to never leave clothing on the floor or desk if I'm going to wear it again. I have door hooks for that. Not that the cats will pee on them, but they are world-class hair shedders. (Thanks, James!)
I have cats, dogs, and turtles. I'm never fully dressed without somebody's fur on my clothing. My dogs have their own blankets and quilts. The cat uses whichever one a dog is not using. They will commandeer my blankets and quilts if I'm not careful.
My father always said: you spoil your pets so they stay home; you don't spoil your kids so they'll move out. Solid advice!
