Jeneen bought this just last week and didn't see the "sell by" date until she got home. The turkey expired before my last wedding! Has it really been in the markdown freezer for 16 years? I doubt that; if your freezers don't get cleaned more often than that, the grocery would have some kind of reputation by now. My guess is that it's a mistake. The date has a lot of ones and nines. Markdowns are done very early in the morning, and someone setting up the label machine didn't look at the date. Or they were playing roulette with the settings. Anyway, Jeneen took a picture, but didn't take it back to the store. The meat wasn't for her family anyway, it was for a visitor.
This young fox has been coming to her yard every day at dinnertime. Squee! He seems smart enough to know whether turkey is edible or not. (Thanks, Jeneen Martin!)

Before your LAST wedding ???
Like, making a habit of it.
I didn't know there were foxes in North America, thought them only in Europe.
He is a real cutie though ... or she.
I had a Google Maps look at the store, seems to be on the ball.
No idea what the 19th month is called, probably Trumpuptus by now ... I mean, they named August after an emperor.
More like Trumpruinedus.
Probably the month after that will be called Barronvondracula.
How I wish it was still 2009, I was so much younger
I'm older than that now.
Older than your last wedding is hilarious! Thanks for the posting!!! Jeneen
Some people are the marrying kind. Some people are not the stay married kind. Some people are both.
