The Green Children of Woolpit

In the early 12th century, two children, a boy and a girl, appeared in the village of Woolpit in England. According to the little documentation we have, they didn't speak English and had green skin. Strangely, they weren't burned at the stake, and the villagers seem to have accepted them. They just assumed the children were fairies, a perfectly logical explanation. But as we look back at the incident now, there are (at least) three possibilities.

1. They were aliens from outer space.

2. They suffered from a rare but real medical condition that made them look green.

3. In the many years between the incident and the surviving written accounts, the story could have changed a lot, growing like legends do.

Two of those three possibilities explain the bible.
Such a heathen is me.

I have two ginger cats.
This I know because I have been told.
But to me they look green.
They, Pokeno and JimJam, could well be aliens.
They both have a long snake like thing growing from their body.
They have ears that pivot, even facing backwards at times.
They have hands that can adhere to vertical surfaces, enabling them to climb to great heights.
Often they expel waste fluids in an arc, easily the length of their body, and do so while standing.
They communicate with birds, by means of an oral typewriter ... although I am told it is mainly to do with recipes for avian dismemberment.
All in all they qualify as aliens in most ways.

I may be colourblind.
Not actually colour blind, think Daltonism, where one sees all colours, but some of them are the same as each other.
