Ohio State University has been conducting an ongoing research project on urban coyotes for the last 20 years. It's an interesting rabbit hole of information.
Turns out coyotes are well-adapted to living in cities.
In Chicago, the coyotes living in more the densely-populated parts of the city (downtown Chicago) actually have a longer life expectancy than those living in less-populated areas (parks and wildlife reserves).
