Peacock Tries "Faking it" to Find a Mate

It seems weird to me that married men tend to draw more attention from women than single men. The women they attract have no inner block against adultery, I suppose. But when you think about it on a purely biological level, being married indicates that a man has already been vetted and found worthy by at least one woman.

The same phenomena can be seen in peacocks. One who announced that they have found a mate draws the attention of other pea hens. Sam, who doesn't have a mate, notices and uses that tactic for his own ends.
