I still can't upload pictures. This one's an html workaround. I don't know what will happen to this site when I run out of pre-loaded picture posts.

> what is a gothic romance? Well it's a romance story with strong supernatural themes, all tied to an atmospheric and foreboding building which our heroine must flee

So, Ghostbusters.

Gosh, I hope you can get it figured out, Miss C. You are a daily part of my life and have been now for years. I scroll down the list of things to check out every morning as I cover my regular list of online stuff, and return frequently to see what's new or what I missed in the first scanning of the day's offerings. Wishing you well as you work for a solution!

Try using another browser to upload.

In addition to trying a different browser, have you tried clearing your browser's cache and cookies?

Anonymous said...

Dumpster-Firefox breaks half my websites every time it updates.

Can't upload on Chrome or Firefox, although in Chrome I get an error message instead of a stuck screen. Clearing the cache did nothing. Deleting a couple thousand cookies did nothing (I need some of them).

Check to see if you have an ad-blocker enabled for that site?

Click the site info padlock (in address bar), click Cookies, then look in the Blocked tab. Are there any entries there? Apparently if the google .com cookies are blocked, it causes the upload problem.

In the lab they proved strange ice can exist, but it's existence on other planets is speculation.

“given two days’ sun… [the device] will store sufficient electrical energy to light an ordinary house for a week”.
“bringing them cheap light, heat and power,"
"two sunny days suffice to store enough electricity for a weeks use"

There's a big difference between those three statements in that 1905 article.

The picture "lunch atop a skyscraper" the guy on the right is apparently drinking his lunch.

I'm sure among your millions of fans there must be a tech-nerd who can solve you uploading problem.

JoeK, I don't have the option to look at cookies from there. I only have the option to delete them all. I can see them through my browser preferences, and none are marked as blocked.

You could try some other image file types, .tif .gif .png and see if any of those work.

Or you could try removing and reinstalling your browser. Backup bookmarks first.

I bet you're pretty sick of advice right now, so I won't even try!

Do you use a VPN? I've found when something goes wrong, turning it off will fix the problem. A lot of websites won't let you in if you're on a VPN.

No VPN. No adblockers. No third-party apps. I try to keep my internet experience generic, so that I only share links that others can use and enjoy.
