How to Calm a Crying Baby

The folks at It's a Southern Thing bring us a video that's not limited to anything about the South, but illustrates a couple of important things to know about parenting. First, you learn so many things so fast in the first few months of having a baby that you start to think you must be an expert, but nothing can be further from the truth. Second, nothing works. What might work today is not guaranteed to work tomorrow, or even 15 minutes from now. The honest truth is that babies cry for any and all reasons, and they only stop when they have words to replace crying as communication. Even then, you'll have crying, but at least you might be able to figure out why. You cannot "manage" an infant, they will do as they will do, and all you can do in response is the best you can, and then keep telling yourself that they will grow up, eventually.

You hope they will grow up.
Judging by some teenagers I've seen they stopped maturing when they were four.
