In advertising, there's no rule that you have to be clever, beautiful, or intriguing, even those things do help. In advertising, the number one rule is to get the audience's attention at all costs, because there's an ocean of competition for that attention. Your promotions do not even have to make sense, as long as they grab your eyeballs. This sign, which John Nichols noticed and recorded in Buffalo, Wyoming, drives home that rule. It sure got my attention! (Thanks, John!)

Attention. Interest. Desire. Action.
They get my attention. But none of the other three.
But if they don't get your attention you'll never be able to check the other three.
Why would I want to check the other three?
