Forget about the pole for a minute and just look at the bike wheel-eating boobie-trap where the blacktop meets the concrete sidewalk. Now do you understand why serious cyclists ride in the street?-"BB"-
An obvious Photoshop job. Zoom in where the right turn lane meets the topsoil. How would the asphalt possibly be laid so flat on dirt?
