The mess that is the tightened security and scrutiny at airports was caused entirely by 3 highjacked commercial passenger jets that were able, after being hijacked, to haphazardly fly around the eastern seaboard of the USA, untouched and uncontacted, for 2 to 3 hours before 2 of them crashed precisely into the two towers of the World Trade Center, even though the hijackers who were by then piloting the big jets, had only a few hours flight training in small Cessna propellor planes. Remember that when you have to take your shoes off and dump your shampoo before flying. Remember that .... you are most likely being played.
Disclaimer - I am not paid by the C.I.A. or any covert American government agency.
^ There were four hijacked planes, most of the pilots received at least minimal training in twin engine turbine aircraft, two pilots had multi engine certification, two of them had several hours of training in a 727 simulator, two pilots had a training flight through the "Hudson Corridor," the inspection of shoes and liquids is not related to 9/11.
And you forgot to mention that the USA is STILL not using the metric system.
And your disclaimer? Exactly what you would say if you were a CIA operative 😎
I hope you are enjoying the Fall weather down under.
They were trained at Embry-Riddle University, Daytona Beach, Fla. The hardest part of piloting an airliner is landing and they weren't concerned with that.
The obvious solution to explosives smuggled aboard is everyone fly naked with luggage on a separate plane. But the government didn't ask me.

Only one was trained at Embry-Riddle. The others were trained at a variety of flight schools, mostly in Florida.
Read 7.2 thru 7.4 in the document below if interested in the details.
