The Buzz Lightyear we know from the Toy Story movies is a toy. But that toy was merchandise was based on the movie character Buzz Lightyear, a heroic Space Ranger, at least in the Toy Story universe. We only knew the toy, but now we get to see the movie that Andy loved and that spawned the heroic toy. Lightyear will be in theaters on June 17, 2022.

Judging from the trailer, I would say that it appears as if they've dug out just about all the gold that was in the Toy Story franchise/mine and they're now trying to work a dead hole.
