Still, I don't know if Harry Stump is a lawyer or a plastic surgeon. (via Bad Newspaper)

For sure, for sure ... Harry was attacked by a mistreated dog when he was a young fella, lost his foot after the wound went bad, hence his name ... Stump, not Harry, he was called Harry because his mother's brother's name was Harold and he told a few good jokes and everyone liked him, so Harry got named after him.
The Stump bit (pun intended) came later.
Harry was so upset by his one foot having to do all the work he decided to do some good for other people who had the misfortune to be hurt by other badly treated canines, and as soon as he was old enough he enrolled in medical school, and then later, branched off into plastic surgery.
A little known fact about Harry Stump is that he also graduated from veterinary school, so he is qualified to do plastic surgery on dogs, should he ever come across one that has been disfigured by a human, for instance.
People sometimes get Harry Stump mixed up with the lawyer fellow Harry Stamp.
You should hear HIS back story.
