I got one once that said "Your fortune is in a different cookie."
And one time, when my mother and I were out eating at a Chinese restaurant, she got a cookie that didn't have any fortune in it at all. She did make light of it, saying that this — no fortune, no future, no nothing — was pretty much the story of her life.
She was wrong, of course..... My sister and I are still living proof of that.
