Last year, when I was working at a grocery store during Carnival season, we were mandated to make king cakes, but the required decorations did not arrive until May. We also sold Pączkis, but a six-week supply arrived two days before Ash Wednesday.
Someone from MI mentioned Pakzkis on a forum Saturday night so when I saw them(noticed them) for the first time last night, they just leaped into my shopping cart when I walked by. Good Grief! The label says 310 calories each, I'd have bet a lot of money it's three times that.
