Sister Rosetta Tharpe is the Godmother of Rock 'n' Roll. This video illustrates how she took Gospel to a different level with her electric guitar. Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Johnny Cash, Chuck Berry, and Jimi Hendrix all cited Tharpe as an inspiration and influence.
